Lei Ieng Wai graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in 2008 and a Master's degree in 2012 respectively. His works explore the virtual and realistic aspects of contemporary society. Through repetitive techniques, he creates seemingly monotonous atmospheres in his works and reveals the lifestyles of people in the present.
Lei’s works have been exhibited in various international exhibitions and have gained recognition both domestically and internationally. His solo and group exhibitions include the 2022 Taichung Art Expo and Hsinchu Art Expo held in Taiwan, the 2021 “Time Spectrum Lei Ieng Wai Solo Exhibition” in Xi An in China, Art Madrid in 2018, and the “Dimensional Sequence Lei Ieng Wai Solo Exhibition” which was held at Lisboa Galeria Arte Periférica in Portugal in 2017 among others.
