Olga Bläsi 奥尔加·布莱西

Olga Bläsi was born in Berlin, Germany in 1993. She studied with Erwin Boatsch at The Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna in 2019 and with Anne Speie in 2022. She graduated from The Academy of Graphic Arts and Bookbinding Art in Leipzig with a bachelor's degree. She is currently working and living in Berlin and Athens.

Bläsi's creative practice focuses on the relationship between materials, textures and forms, the effects of collisions of different textures, especially the expression of skin and touch. The artist posits each form as a reaction to the others. She paints, glues, joins, separates, cuts, sews, pushes and pulls, adding layers while removing and deleting them at the same time. Her creations interrogate the relationship between the viewer and the object, as well as the shifting boundaries between the two. By recreating the perception of one's own body in the movement and position of the work, she explores whether the work thus becomes a counterpart or extension of one's own body.

Her exhibitions in recent years include: “Layers”, HGB Gallery, Leipzig, Germany; “Soft Grid”, Studio Hanniball, Berlin, Germany; “transform”, KUB Galerie, Leipzig, Germany; “Leipzig Transfer”, Gallery AdBK, Nürnberg, Germany.
