Leo Gallery, in collaboration with Chengdu Bo She and DECOLAB, presents a distinctive art exhibition Impermanence: Line·Field with German avant-garde artist Max Hückel in a space where history and modernity converge.

Right and wrong, control and chaos, confrontation and reconciliation, birth and dissolution-these human concepts and states of impermanence are transformed by Max Hückel into a spiritual practice that embraces the freedom of boundaries and foregrounds the experiential process of painting.

The most elemental lines become the site of Hückel's rejection of perfect predetermined forms. Between rise and fall, traces of what is fading yet not yet gone-unconcealed drafts and layered brushstrokes-shift between restraint and release, stagnation and wildness, dancing to the rhythm of the body's instinctive movements in the act of creation. Like a dreamlike journey through time, all memories, after confronting the dynamic tensions that strike the soul, settle into static equilibrium on the canvas. Whether evoking the atmosphere of Eastern ink painting or the explosive chromatic ruptures of the West, his work engages the exhibition space with remarkable intensity, forging a visual synergy across dimensions.

This exhibition is hosted in the historic Bizhi Shi (Clerk's Office) Mansion at Chengdu Bo She, a century-old heritage site, and features iconic Bauhaus furniture design. Through Max Hückel's philosophical practice, impermanence is crystallized into tangible form. We invite you to experience the intersection and collision of contemporary and tradition, the visible and invisible, the ephemeral and eternal.
