Artist Residency|Max Huckle Completes His 2025 Residency at Leo Gallery

German artist Max Huckle has concluded his residency at Leo Gallery Zhujiajiao Residency Space. Over the course of several months in China, Huckle engaged in an intensive period of artistic research, production, and cultural exchange, further expanding his ongoing exploration of the relationships between material, space, and human experience.

Huckle's creative process resembles a continuous spiral, perpetually moving forward and renewing itself. His work explores linear form and uses materials intuitively, balancing intention with spontaneity. Each piece becomes an evolving dialogue between consciousness, gesture, and material.

During the residency, Huckle completed a number of new works, actively engaging with the local creative environment and deepening his understanding of cross-cultural artistic practice.

Leo Gallery remains committed to fostering residency and exchange opportunities for international artists in China, providing a platform for deeper engagement with local culture and artistic contexts.

Leo Gallery looks forward to continuing its support of the artist's future endeavors and to presenting new projects that emerge from the outcomes of this residency.
