Giulio Frigo was born in 1984 in Azzano, Vicenza, Italy, and currently lives and works in Milan. He studied at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and holds a Master's degree in Lighting Design from the Politecnico di Milano. He has participated in exhibitions at numerous prestigious institutions, including the Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Visuales in Havana, the Benetton Collection in Venice, the San Francesco Museum in the Republic of San Marino, and the Bevilacqua La Mosa Foundation in Venice.
Giulio possesses a deep understanding of the essence of European traditional art. In his works, one may encounter what appears to be "painting in a traditional form," yet upon closer examination, a distinct difference emerges. This reflects an inevitable reality for him-and for all of us living in the 21st century. Whether historical traditions and the transformative power of modern technology blend, intersect, or replace one another, this phenomenon cannot be simplistically labeled as progress or regression, good or bad. It is simply the authentic reality of our time.
